Aloe Vera Gel - Wound Care Study Aloe Life conducted an 18 month study in 1997 using the wound gel (also known as ultimate skin gel). The 24 patients in the study had stages I-IV pressure ulcer wounds with moderate to heavy amounts of exudate. Many patients were diabetic, receiving marginal nutrition support and had two or more wounds that were studied. The product application resulted in 100% success of promoting tissue repair at increased speed, decreased inflammation of the wound bed, self debridement, minimized any infection occurance, promoted healing in patients that had zero opportunity of resolution, saved limbs from amputation, saved patients from undergoing surgical procedures.
